Art & Culture

I look at my collection of wedding favors, bridal shower favors, and christening favors and I was quite impressed at how those things can pile up over the years. It actually takes a lot of space but I cannot seem to throw them away or keep them in a box because each reminds me of a special occasion in my loved ones life and my life as well.

I wonder, wouldn’t it be nicer to have edible wedding favors so you can eat it and just keep the wrapper? In that way, you avoid the clutter, you had fun eating it and you still keep a memorabilia.

Artists are known for being passionate.  You can see it in their craft.  Whatever the medium is - whether it is a mural, a poem, a song, or even tattoo designs, it is always an expression of oneself.  An expression of how the artist view the world, a thing or a certain event.

You may see a dot on a paper, but the artist might already be seeing a blackhole or a mother carrying her child, or a lot of other things other people do not see. They interpret the world and their emotions through their art. Writers can describe love through a line in a poem, a romantic story, or the chorus of a song. Painters can say what they feel through a line in the canvas or a sad or happy face on a painting.

There are a lot of things to write or paint, a lot of things to appreciate if only most of us see the world through the eyes of an artist.
