Urban Fashion is often related to the black culture - hip-hop, R&B, and reflects an inner-city social themes and attitude. When you say urban clothes, they often refer to the baggier, logo-tagged outfits rooted from the hip-hop culture. Yet, urban clothing is more than that. It includes anything young, hip, forward-thinking and multicultural.

Sean Diddy Combs, Jay-Z, Pharell Williams, Missy Eliot, and Eminem are among the celebrities or rappers who wears urban clothes.  These people have a great influence over fashion designers who are caters to uptown and downtown high earning clientelle.  Because of this, urban fashion is now merged with high-end design and is now a word for successful, cosmopolitan and rich.  Urban clothing now signifies chic downtown lifestyle.

Inspite the evolution of urban to urban + high end, urban fashion still has its own identity.  Having originated from the streets, urban clothing can be defined as a creative endeavor derived from street life.   It is hip and chic, casual and comfortable,  hip-hop and kicks off.
